Story
In November 2015, my 34 month old Son, Tyler, was admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of group A streptococcus and developed Sepsis.
From the moment Tyler arrived at GOSH he had the undivided attention of an amazing team of people. There were some very special people looking after Tyler that evening. Not just from their ability as medical practitioners, but also in the way they cared for him. They were incredible, trying absolutely everything to save Tyler. Sadly, his little body couldn’t keep battling. It gave up after his sixth cardiac arrest, just as the team were preparing him for a heart and lung bypass.
As my way of being able to give something back to GOSH after they had battled so tirelessly to save Tyler's life, i'm very proud to have been awarded a place to run the 2019 London Marathon on their behalf. This is an incredibly daunting prospect for me, i'm not exactly a seasoned runner, but i will do my best for GOSH, as they did for me and my family.
