One of the children of Enkito village
November 2010; having returned from spending the Summer with maasai hosts in a small isolated manyatta (village) in the middle of Amboseli National Park, Kenya, overlooked by Kilimanjaro, Petr from the Czech Republic needed to do something more. He gathered some of his favourite photographs from the Summer and put together a calendar. Since showing one or two friends Petr has now raised hundreds of pounds selling these Calendars and is about to return to to buy the community what they need with the proceeds; school supplies, sports equipment for the children, feeding troughs for the cattle - just to make a real change to their lives, like they did to him. Petr's friends know their donations will count. Your donations REALLY count too and we'll show you how.

John stops by in the evening with an estimate for fencing the orphanage and can’t stop smiling, ‘We Africans say rains bring good luck.’ This past week has brought a lot of smiles and laughter. Some of the Lake Land Youth Group boys will be traveling with me to Nairobi to meet with Shiriki, facilitated by Alison’s (AVIF founder) kind offer to fund the visit, and a local NGO might be coming to survey the village to help provide clean water ..
