About the charity

CARA is an independent international charity that relies on its members and the generosity of the public in securing donations and legacies so that it can continue the work it provides.

Its objectives are to relieve poverty, sickness, HIV, AIDS, cancer, hardship and to provide overseas aid, water, sanitation, free counselling, community law centre, legal advice, debt advice, immigration advice, employment advice, job search advice, translation, welfare advice and benefits for lonely, needy old people, disabled, and underprivileged children and other persons in the UK and Africa.

As CARA needs your support to improve the lives of the poor and build a stronger community in Africa and the UK, all funds raised are used to support causes where they can “make a difference”.
