About us
Cumbria Addictions: Advice and Solutions (CADAS) have been supporting people living in Cumbria and their families with their mental health, addictions and substance dependency since the organisation was established in 1979. CADAS provide targeted early intervention programmes that reach the most troubled and vulnerable children, young people, adults and families in Cumbria communities.
CADAS address the following priorities:
- Prevention and reducing harm by delivering a holistic approach, addressing multiple and complex needs, including the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) with a range of evidenced based interventions
- Delivering programmes tailored to individual needs and local situations involving families and communities; these are designed and delivered in partnership.
Annually, through population health and recovery pathways for families and individuals, CADAS work directly with c400 people and reach around 3000 through health promotion work.
