We are pleased to announce that we have found an incredible family to support this Christmas.
This Family is made up of five wonderful human beings who 10 weeks ago had what seemed to be a normal family life when they received news that would truly devastate any family and break any parent’s heart - There energetic and clever 12 year old boy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
Over the last few weeks this family have hit many road bumps but none of them have lost any spirit, especially our 12 year old superstar. Christmas is a time for family, a time for togetherness and it is with great sadness that they may have to spend it apart due to necessary treatments.
We want to provide a relaxing, stress free Christmas for this family it may be unconventional but with the correct amount of spirit, love, joy and support it could be Christmas every day.
Alongside supporting our chosen family we are funding a Christmas lunch for 20 elderly people and their befriending partners and a Christmas lunch for 20 men who have suffered from serious depression and anxiety but came back from it (these men are vastly unrepresented in the charity sector).
What we are asking, is if any of you, our valued customers, would be willing to donate to this amazing cause or sponsor us for our walk to help us reach our £3000 target, we would be extremely grateful! In return for a sponsor, if you leave us with your personal email address, we will email you a thank you treat!
Alternatively, we have scratch cards for £1 each, where you could win 20% off your food bill, 2 for 1 on desserts or a free drink and meal. Also, we have Blacksmiths Arms Community Giveback Charity pens for £2 each. These can both be purchased from any member of the team and all the money goes towards our giveback!
