    Story

    Good Vibrations

    Ground-breaking Sound-making for Swindon’s own 105.5 FM
Bathe in the effects of music, vocals and shamanic drumming.

In an age of innovation, so much of what we hear about is new technology. How about hearing about ways to tap into natural, ancient technology? Our voices are amongst the oldest we live with daily and yet a new method of using one particular one was introduced to the world just over a year ago. In a ground-breaking and unique delivery of natural sounds, you could be participating in one of the newest pages in history – and not just of Swindon; it is intended that this eventually serves thousands of people at once.
The wide-ranging sounds are created through the nose and mouth of Paula Hills.

Studies of the effect of sound on water and fine sand have been documented, (cymatics) showing that clear notes of certain frequencies create beautiful, strong symmetric patterns. Good vibrations and their effects are etched into some of our oldest monuments, showing sound’s effects. Given that our bodies are made up from 70-85% water, it’s perhaps no surprise that a great feeling of refreshment is brought about by bathing in such a sound.

On Friday 30th June, at 7.30pm, Paula Hills will be conducting the Sound Bath at The Pilgrim Centre, SN1 1PX. The event will end at approximately 10pm.

Enriching our evening’s experiences will be the contribution of Kaan Hills, able to join us fresh from his recent entertainment work in Dubai.

Tickets can be bought for the minimum donation of only £5 via Just Giving, the proceeds going to our town's only dedicated (not-for-profit) community radio station Swindon 105.5FM which broadcasts 24/7 and has achieved some amazing breakthroughs in the spirit of community enterprise.

Please come along to this event, which promises to be an experience never to be forgotten! Get in touch to learn more: soundbath2017@gmail.com
