On the 25th October 2015 we welcome our little girl into the world. Leah seemed like a healthy happy baby until around 4 months old when we noticed something odd about her movement. Last summer our baby girl Leah was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Leah had an MRI carried out which confirmed that she has suffered a stroke in the womb causing the right side of her brain to be badly damaged. As a result of this Leah has a disability on the left side of her body. Leah is 18 months old and still isn't walking and can barely use her left arm. At the moment it is unlikely that she will be able to do small everyday tasks that most of us take for granted such as use a knife and fork, dress herself , tie her laces etc. There is a specialist therapy which can be carried out called Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) , unfortunately this is not available on the NHS. The therapy is going to cost in the region of £9000 for a 4 weeks session. The therapy is very intense but the results I have seen so far are absolutely amazing and we would love to give Leah this opportunity. So I'm asking ( begging) all my friends and family, and anyone else out there to please help make this happen. Leah is a beautiful happy little girl who brings a lot of joy to everyone around her and she deserves this opportunity more than anyone. It is very hard for us to ask this but If anyone can help raise funds for our little girl it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance xxx
