Story
Hi, I'm Mia! I'm 6 years old, my parents helped me write this part and are supporting me in my choice.
I'm about to go on an incredible adventure by climbing Scafell Pike over the summer holidays, the highest mountain in England. It's arguably the most challenging of the Three Peaks in the UK, and I can't wait to reach the top! I've already conquered the summit of Old Man of Coniston, and now I'm setting my sights even higher.
-About Scafell Pike-
Scafell Pike rises to an impressive 978 meters, making it the tallest peak in England. It's known for its rugged terrain and breathtaking views. Even though many experienced hikers find it tough, I'm excited to take on this big challenge to help a great cause.
-Mia's Aim: Restoring the Peace Pagoda, Milton Keynes-
I'm climbing to raise money for the Peace Pagoda in Milton Keynes. This special place was the first Pagodo to be built in the Western Hemisphere and was built by the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Order in 1980. It stands for peace and unity. The Peace Pagoda holds a special place in my heart because it’s a beautiful symbol of harmony and understanding, and I love visiting it. As it approaches its 45th anniversary in 2025, it needs restoration to keep inspiring people with its message of peace. I want to help ensure it stays a beacon of hope for everyone.
-Supporting Our Schools-
A portion of the money I raise will also go to my school. We need vital sensory equipment to support our autistic students and enhance their learning experience. This equipment is essential for making sure everyone at my school can learn together, thrive together and create a place of comunity where everyone is supported.
