I've raised £3000 to help instal a solid floor into St.Matthew’s Church, Netley Marsh, integrate an under-floor heating system, and then return the pews.

Story

We have an urgent requirement to replace the original rotting floor with a new purpose built intallation - with under-floor heating integral - which will serve the building for the coming century.

I ran and completed the Valencia Marathon on Sunday 3 December. Here is a link to the 90 second story of my run:

catching the pain and the 'feeling' of completing the challenge!! It was a fantastic day... the city of Valencia is something special and the people made it something to be remembered. My legs are now in recovery!!

As you can see from the photo my son Lawrence completed the run as well - we ran the first 18 miles together… and completed the final stretch at our own oace!

Work has started on the works and the church is currently closed to enable completion of works. We would love further donations to our Restoration Fund to ensure everything in the specification can be completed. We do not receive any assistance from church authorities - so we rely on donations (small and large) to ensure the church building is open for future generations.

Thank you for clicking the link and reading this far… together we can help a fantastic building live another 150 years… and help make brilliant memories and life moments for many more from our community…
