Hello :)

For those of you that don't know me, my name's Abbey Freeman and I'm 15 from the UK. In November 2018 I am joining an expedition to Nepal with a group of my best friends on a challenging, yet exciting trip of a lifetime.

Nepal is one of the least developing countries and the people rely on groups like ours to bring much needed charity support. During my trip I will be joining a number of volunteer programmes to include:

Building a new school or Healthcare Centre, installing the countries first piped drinking water system, teaching English to young monks, working with local families and teaching games to the children. I will also be visiting the Gurka Welfare Trust and learning about climate change in the area.

The 3 week project will also award me an ASDAN University Award which will enhance my personal statement and Leadership skills and will give me credits towards the University of my choice.

As a group we are currently involved in a number of events to raise money for the trip including boot sales, selling unwanted clothes online, part time work and events at school.
