We were given the devastating news as a family a few weeks ago that my dad has that awful disease cancer, he's currently undergoing treatment and he is a fighter.

Throughout his treatment so far we have had the support of some wonderful people who do amazing job day in day out.

We have decided to focus on giving back however much or as little we can. We're fundraising to help raise money for the ENT department and Nucelar Sciences department at Newcastle Freeman Hospital.

My dad is proudly going to brave the shave and doing a sponsored hair shave on Sunday 13th August.

We are also making hampers for the nursing staff to enjoy - they do a fantastic job and we'd like them to have a little treat themselves.
