Story
In Myanmar the humanitarian situation has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.
As of 3 September 2017 an estimated 87,000 people have reportedly crossed from Myanmar to Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. As many as 14,000 have crossed the border in the last 24 hours alone, joining thousands more who have recently fled ongoing violence.
Access for aid agencies is limited but some charities are on the ground, providing emergency help to thousands. Many of those escaping the violence are from the Rohingya, an ethnic minority of around 1.1m Muslims. Refugees in Bangladesh urgently need water, food, sanitation and shelter.
The money raised will go those charities working in the area of Myanmar. We now need your help more than ever before.
