I'm a comic book creator, painter and wheelchair user. I rely on getting to comic conventions to promote my books, find work by meeting editors and publishers, and to increase awareness of diversity and inclusion. I now need to have a helper (or helpers) to travel to these events, and the cost of accessible accomodation has nearly doubled in the last couple of years. There are around 5 comic cons in the UK, that are a mainstay for my career, Thought Bubble, London Super Comic Con, ICE, NICE, and London Film and Comic Con. None are local, and all involve challenges for a wheelchair user as far as travelling is concerned. I am only managing to attend one of these this year, (Thought Bubble) so I'm hoping to raise enough funds to attend all of these events over the next year. Your support is greatly appreciated.
