After a short and sudden illness we sadly lost the incredible Alan Frederick Ward, a loving husband to Pat and fantastic dad to Marc and Jayne.

Over the past few years, Alan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Though his memory wasn't always up to scratch, he remained happy, active and just as daft as he always has been!

While we are deeply mourning our loss, we wanted to do something positive in his memory.

Milbanke Day Centre has been a lifeline for both Alan and our family. He loved going there, meeting new people, playing his harmonica for everyone and generally having a great time. His time at Milbanke has also allowed our family to have some well needed respite time away from caring for him. All money raised in Alan's memory will go directly to the Day Centre. This money will be used to help fund day trips out, in-house entertainment or special treats for residents.
