Story
Ian's Chain was formed in 2013 by my friend Alan Savill after the loss of his Son Ian. In the memory of Ian, Alan is helping families that have also lost a loved one in this way. So far Ian's Chain has raised funds to buy a camper van which is loaned out to families for them to have time away to grieve and is supporting the running of local SOBS groups to offer support.
According to statistics from the Samaritans over 6,000 people per year take their own lives in the UK, that's 6,000 grieving families that need support and the specialist help to come to terms with their loss.
Alan has dedicated a huge part of his life to help with awareness and prevention of suicide along with helping those that have lost a loved one. He has appeared on LBC radio as a guest a number of times, advised local governments, organised concerts both in the UK and America.
Please support Alan and Ian's Chain to continue this great work, thank you.
