On 24/7/19 our son Alex was prematurely born sleeping. We had hopes and dreams for him but sadly we had to say goodbye too soon.

Alex was placed in a cot with a cool mat underneath the mattress, alongside a noisy fan, so that we could spend time saying our goodbyes. Speaking to the midwives we were told in conversation that there are much more modern Cooler Cuddlecots which would be much more practical and beneficial to the babies, parents and staff, but there is no funding available for them.

In memory of Alex we would like to raise enough money to buy and donate at least one Cooler Cuddlecot for the Royal Preston Sharoe Green Delivery Suite. We would like to raise enough money for 4 to help meet the unfortunate demand but we are beginning with 1 as our target. We will be using this page for sponsorship for planned activities which groups of us are participating in, whilst also being a page to donate a contribution to.
