Story

We’re raising **£500** to contribute to the first stage of a much-needed **£250,000 restoration project** for St. Benet’s Minster Church—a Grade II\* listed landmark and the third-largest Catholic church in East Anglia.
This stunning Romanesque-style church, designed by local architect **Francis Banham** and completed in 1908, is more than a building—it’s a vital part of our community. But years of insufficient maintenance have caused severe rainwater damage, threatening its very structure.
To celebrate the season and raise awareness, we’ve created a beautiful Nativity Display surrounded by glowing Christmas lights at 42 Chestnut Drive, Loddon (NR14 6GF). It’s free to visit from 21st December to 4th January, 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM, and donations from visitors will go directly towards restoring St. Benet’s.
Take a moment to walk through the scene of Christ’s humble birth, reflect on the hope, love, and joy of Christmas, and help us preserve this historic church for future generations
