Help change a talented young girl's life

My name is Deanne Campbell and my husband and I are trying to help an extremely talented 16 year old Ukrainian singer, song writer, pianist and guitarist to safety and allow her to continue her education in music and arts here in the UK, after Anastasiia and her family have had to flee Kyiv just days ago.

We heard about Anastasiia Sandalova through a friend and were so taken with her plight and her determination and bravery that we felt compelled to help her. As a professional flautist myself I was incredibly impressed when I heard recordings of. her playing and singing and offered to host her here with us in Somerset. Anastasiia speaks good English and has made the difficult decision to leave her parents who have fled to Montengro and come to England as a refugee alone at the tender age of 16 in order to continue her education here. She dreams to have a career in the music industry and in order for her to apply for a place in any music colleges or obtain a music scholarship somewhere here she needs to replace the musical instruments and music she has lost. She is clearly a student with a desire to learn and the talent to make something of her life.

As a 16 year old girl arriving in a new country with only a rucksack of possessions, no family with her and no instruments that have been her life up to now, we want to be able to give her practical help. In order to apply for a place at a music college or audition for a music scholarship at a good school here she needs to replace instruments, music and a few other essentials left behind when fleeing her country to show what she can do.
