Lindsay is a sister, a daughter, a friend and is soon to be Andy's wife. Andy is her carer and her best friend as well as her fiance. On October 4th, (which is also her 28th birthday) they get married in Coatbridge, Glasgow, where they live. Earlier this year Lindsay, who suffers from a rare, undiagnosed autoimmune condition, nearly died. Her condition causes her lungs and stomach to fill up with fluid, she developed complications and ended up in intensive care for weeks and weeks. Those who know Lindsay, and our family well, will be aware that this is on top of a life which has always been extremely challenging.

We believe that it was partly the thought of marrying Andy which kept Lindsay going and gave her the strength to get better and push herself. She is a very strong person, and has amazed us all with her ability to remain positive when many of us would be asking "why me?".

Neither Lindsay or Andy work, although of course Andy looks after Lindsay on a daily basis. We want to be able to give them a break after their wedding, even if it is just a couple of days away in the Highlands to relax. If you are able to spare any amount I can promise you you will be helping to put a smile on the faces of a couple who would never ask for anything, but who deserve it more than I can even put into words. <3 <3 <3
