    Story

Thank you for coming here. My name is Andy John and I am the Church in Wales (Anglican) Bishop of Bangor.

I'm concerned about the plight of displaced people at the Jungle Camp in Calais. As a Christian who has had so many opportunities, i'm concerned about a group of people whose governments find it convenient to ignore.

I visited Calais in April and was impressed by Caroline Gregory - a Christian, who gave up a job, because she felt called to serve the people of Calais' Jungle'.

As well as prayer support, Caroline needs financial support. i'm running the snowdon marathon on 29 october, and would ask you to sponsor me and enable caroline's ministry and work to continue.

The pain that I will feel for a few hours that day is nothing compared to the pain which the displaced people of the Jungle have been through, and all because they want to have a chance to fulfil their potential.

Diolch i chi am ddod yma. Andy John ydyw i a fi yw Esgob Bangor yn yr Eglwys yng Nghymru (Anglicanaidd).

Rwy'n bryderus iawn am sefyllfa pobl sydd wedi'u dadleoli yng Ngwersyll Jyngl yng Nghalais. Fel Cristion sydd wedi cael cymaint o gyfleoedd, rwy'n pryderu am grŵp o bobl mae llywodraethau yn ei chael yn gyfleus i anwybyddu.

Ymwelais â Calais ym mis Ebrill ac mi wnaeth Caroline Gregory creu argraff arnaf. Fel Cristion, gadawodd Caroline ei swydd, gan ei bod yn teimlo galwad i wasanaethu’ pobl sy'n gorfod galw ‘y Jyngl ‘adref’.

Yn ogystal â chymorth gweddi, mae Caroline angen cefnogaeth ariannol. Felly dwi'n rhedeg Marathon yr Wyddfa ar 29 Hydref, a byddai gofyn i chi fy noddi ac felly yn galluogi gweinidogaeth a gwaith Caroline parhau.

Mae'r boen y teimlaf i am ychydig oriau'r diwrnod ’na’n ddim byd i gymharu â'r boen y mae pobl y Jyngl wedi bod drwodd, a'r holl oherwydd eu bod eisiau cael cyfle i gyflawni eu potensial.
