I'm taking part in the Swansea Bay 10K run on 24th September this year. I will be raising money for our local lifeboat. Ferryside Lifeboat is an independent lifeboat run entirely by dedicated volunteers. Funding is raised within the local community around the lifeboat station. Operating successfully since 1835 it now costs about £23,000 each year to keep the lifeboat operating. 100% of money donated goes directly to running Ferryside Lifeboat .
