Story

The Redenham Park estate have put forward a planning application for the erection of 2 chicken sheds at the top of Privet lane, each the length of a full sized football pitch. This will house 32,000 free range chickens with a 7 day a week packing operation. It will be generating roughly 700 tonnes of chicken manure and chicken carcasses per year and create peak odour rates twice a week when the sheds are cleaned out. In addition, the chicken manure is going to be stored locally and spread on fields around the village.

Our Village will stink!

We have engaged with professional Rural Planning Consultants as well as a Professional Ecologist, all of which cost huge amounts of money. In addition, we have costs for printing and banner production.

We are looking to you to help us fund these expenses, which will be in the whole community's interest.

The funds will be looked after and accounted for by Mark Hyson of Hysons, the well known Accounting practise in Andover and any excess that is raised beyond the amounts required will be donated to the Village Fete.
