Story

The Ark is home to over 250 rescue animals, the pandemic has hit us very hard, as it has many people. We can't mothball or furlough the animals and so our outgoings are still over 20-25k and month even with no visitors.

We have now been closed for 9.5 months of the last year, and having to remain closed due to our sewage plant erupting, mwith our gates closed, its a worrying time.

As we go into winter, our outgoings increase even more as costs for bedding and electric increase, putting an additional pressure on the finances.

We will get through this and we will not threaten to put animals down, indeed, since lockdown we have helped even more animals that were in desperate need.

The Ark is unique in that the animals that seek refuge here often have nowhere else to go, if we hadnt stepped in to help they faced very uncertain futures. We will fight with everything we have to keep these animals at the Ark and keep the Ark afloat, but we are at the point where we really need to ask for help.

We appreciate everyone is under financial pressure, so please only give what you can spare.

Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported the animals over the last several months.

Take care everyone and stay safe xx
