Story
Until recently The Armthorpe Elmfield Band was affliated to the Doncaster Youth Service, who generously supported us by providing premises to practice in and to store the large amount of equipment it takes to run a traditional brass band. Unfortunately due to cut-backs and re-purposing of premises, we now find ourselves without a home. Over the past year we have survived by the charity of many people providing temporary rooms, but to survive the band needs to bring all its equipment back under one roof and create a regular practice facility. As we have been unable to find a new home we have started on the task of building our own. This is going to take a lot of commitment, work and of course funding.
So far we have managed to obtain a site in our home village and recently obtained planning permission to build a modest practice room and office, which we hope to use ourselves and potentially share with other community musical arts groups. Now we need to raise a substantial amount to move towards the building phase.

6 years agoThank you again to those that have supported us through our Christmas Lottery, prize winners are on our facebook page. We are very grateful for those who have donated directly to us (saving us transaction fees) but if you cannot reach us then this page is still here to take your donations. Look out for us around Armthorpe and Doncaster, this is our busiest time out in the community. We all wish you a Happy Christmas and a succesful New Year.

We now have our annual lottery tickets available for sale with cash prizes to win, get in touch if you want to buy some. (Better still take some extra tickets and sell them for us, volunteers always welcome)
