There adventures range from self organised random outing to charity events also both parties being active members of 4x4 Response U.K. There choice of private vehicles run a similar trend to each
other with a expedition ready Nissan patrol (Hellboy), Land Rover 101 overland camper (Spirit Bear) and a part kitted land rover freelander (Stealth)
Adam 29 is a fully qualified gas engineer owning and running his own gas plumbing and heating company know as Riptide
ltd, he's also a former security operative in the event and festival scene.
Teddy 35 is a Film/TV security & Locations operative before this a security operations manager on festivals and events after
completing his services in HMAF.
The Mission:
For this next stage of the A&T adventures Banjul Challenge have agreed to take on the A&T mentality by letting them take
part in the 2017 Banjul challenge in nothing less than Squirtle a 1992 Saxon fire engine..!!! Banjul challenge is in its 14th year of operation with participants taking there chosen vehicles from all over Europe and meeting at the start line in southern Spain where the challenge commences.
From there it is all systems go as the route makes its way south travelling through such locations as Marco, The Sahara and
Mauritania before entering Senegal and is final destination of Banjul, The Gambia.
Up to this year all vehicles have been auctioned in public sale to locals in Banjul and the monies raised divide and shared to
local charity's and good causes.....
This year on the other with A&T's master brain wave, Squirtle shall be donated to the Gambian national fire department where
it shall be placed in to service providing fire, rescue and outreach resources to not only
local but also remote towns/villages.
But wait A&T's crazy minds go 1 step further...!!!!! A fire engine is a large item to
be taking all that way with lots of unused storage don't youthink??
