I've raised £2500 to www.naturefoundation.org.au/support-us/wildlife-recovery-fund + www.sa.gov.au/topics/emergencies-and-safety/bushfire-appeal 50% each

Following the recent climate emergencies in Australia, we (Skinner & T'witch) aim to raise as much money as possible to help those affected, both people and wildlife. Scenes of devastation, broadcast across the globe, which can only be described as apocalyptic, have prompted the desire to help in some small way, and this is what this fundraiser is all about.
In the last few months more than 11 million hectares of land - an area comparable to the size of England - has been affected across all of Australia's states and territories.
Please dig deep.
Fundraising events will be taking place in Bradford (March 7th), Whitby (March 14th), Ashton-under-Lyne (March 22nd), Leeds (March 27th/28th), Sheffield (March 28th), Salford (May 29th), Beverley (May 2nd), Bath (May 3rd) and hopefully, in Chester, Salford Priors and London.
These events form part of a series of linked events in Australia, Ireland, Scotland and England.
Funds raised so far:
Dublin - almost 2000 Euros
Wexford - almost 2000 Euros
Melbourne - 8000 AUD
Total (so far) - 14000 AUD (£7250/EUR 8650)
All proceeds from this crowdfunder will be split 50/50% between 2 organisations:
www.naturefoundation.org.au/support-us/wildlife-recovery-fund
+
www.sa.gov.au/topics/emergencies-and-safety/bushfire-appeal
These two funds are administered by the government of South Australia, without them taking overheads, apparently.
The target at present (for all of the linked Australian Bushfire Benefits - see below) is £2500. Let's see what we can do!
Please get in contact Sandra Twitchett via IM or skinnerandtwitch@gmail.com if you’d like to host a linked event in the London or Newcastle areas, as we have interested artists keen to fundraise in these areas, or in any other area not listed.
