Barry Buchanan, has for many years been one of Hastings finest boxers and sportsmen, having proudly represented Hastings West Hill ABC in his younger days and more recently the Fighting Tigers. He remains an inspiration to many young local boxers coming through the ranks.

More recently Barry has turned his attention to obstacle racing and after completing 4 x 12 km laps in 7 hours and 17 minutes at the recent "Oblivion" obstacle race, where he came in 3rd, he secured his place at the OCR World Championships to be held in Canada this October (2017)

Barry is a very humble young man who does not ask for help, so I am rallying Hastings to get behind him to secure the necessary funds required so that Barry can represent Hastings at the event. He is a credit and an inspiration who deserves our support.
