When you have been friends with someone for 30 years your lives become intertwined, their highs and lows become your highs and lows, their family becomes your family . Jude is 11years old and has an aggressive form of bone cancer . He has undergone several rounds of chemo and a bone graft operation - it's endless trips to hospitals - appointments, checkups, tests - the discomfort, pain ,stress and all the things he is missing out on as an 11 year old - all this takes its toll on the family - the hidden costs of coping Day to Day with this illness . We have known this young man since the day he was born and love him like our own - this walk , to raise money to support him and his family, is our way of trying to give whatever help and support we can - we hope you feel, as our family, friends and colleagues, you can do the same . Our walk - just popped in for a cuppa with Jude - is from Claire's house in Leeds to Jude's house in Manchester. We plan to do it in September.
