Story
Ive been volunteering at Mama Kerrys school in Nakuru, Kenya for 2 years, during our trips we have built classrooms, kitchens and fences.
When I was last there in May I discovered that some of the children who attend the school are orphans who sleep rough on the streets, don't have access to food and can be victims of sexual attacks.
This is incredibly hard for us to comprehend but its happening to fellow human beings who just happen to have been born into a different culture. The great news is that the school have converted an old mud hut into a dormitory which means up to 30 children can sleep safely at night.
I am asking that you help me to raise enough money to buy the bunk beds, mattresses and blankets to allow the school to start caring for these children.
Please only donate if you can afford it, I completely understand we all have our own financial pressures, the prices are below:
Bunk bed: £30
Mattress: £20
Blankets: £10
So realistically to support a child and ultimately give them a safe and secure place to sleep it costs just £45 which is the equivalent of a night out in the UK!
Thank you all for reading this and hopefully supporting these vulnerable children X
