Story
Old Park is an all age special school for up to 136 pupils aged 4-19. They provide an amazing education experience for pupils who have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties including autism. These include pupils with complex medical conditions, physical and mobility difficulties and autism. The money raised here will go towards purchasing specialist mobility equipment (stander) for the children who suffer from severe physical disabilities. The school currently have one of these standers which is shared between 8 pupils. Each pupil should have their own but they cost £5000 each so this is where you can help!
Richard Beech, an ex firefighter and now owner of Direct General Maintenence Ltd in Tamworth has offered to help with this worthy cause. He is running the Birmingham Marathon on 15th October in aid of Old Park Special School. Not only has this guy saved lives as a firefighter, he is now committing himself to helping the community by running a gruelling 26 miles across Birmingham. What a top bloke!
Please dig deep and help us raise as much as possible so that the school can purchase the equipment they so desperately need.
