Birchlands Got Talent Fundraiser.

On Friday May 1st! At 10am we are holding an All-Singing - All-Dancing staff and resident talent show, broadcast live from our home on Facebook.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we have missed two of our big fundraising days, an Easter fete and May bank holiday fair. We usually raise around £500 with each fair and as you can imagine this provides great entertainment and activities for the residents.

When we raise money for the home every penny raised goes to the residents activities fund to go towards visiting entertainment, trips out, arts and crafts materials, sensory buys and also to be able to buy our weekly bingo prizes, plus much more.

As soon as we are able to open our home up again, We would like to be in the position throw a big party for our residents, families and friends. We would also like book in some amazing visiting entertainment for the remaining year including an up close and personal magician and a wonderful trip to Whitby for fish and chips are just some of the things the money raised will go on. After being in lockdown for such a long time, We truly believe our residents deserve the very best with being so understanding at such a difficult time for all of us.

We will go live on Facebook at 10am on May 1st for the cause, there will some slight pauses in between to clean the microphone between and for changing over staff acts to residents etc as we are not able to be close together but fear not Carla our activities coordinator will be presenting the show and singing between, to hopefully run as smooth as possible.
