The Borough of Bury Veterans Association has entered a Veterans team made up of Veterans from all three services including civilians into the Bury 10km on 17th September 2017, to raise money for SSAFA and Borough Of Bury Veterans Association.

We are hoping to raise £500 for Bury Veterans and local branch of SSAFA

The Borough of Bury Veterans Association is tri service and was established in the February of this year to bring together Veterans and dependants of all three services living in Bury together.

Our aims are

1-Afford assistance to Veterans and their dependents by providing a social and support network unifying all three services in the Borough of Bury.

2-Veterans presence at established parades in the Borough of Bury.

3-Raise funds to support Veterans and Veterans charities in the Borough of Bury.

4- Provide a social environment including visits, events and trips for Veterans and like minded people to further a sense of “belonging” within both the Veteran and wider community as a whole.

SSAFA is the Armed Forces charity providing welfare and support to those supporting the Armed Forces, Veterans, and their families, they support Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force.
