In November I am going to Highlands of South West China to volunteer at the Giant Panda Reserve. The Panda base integrates scientific research, captive breeding and reintroduction into the wild. My volunteer duties will be cleaning internal and external cages, preparing the bamboo lunches and making lots of Panda cake.

As a volunteer I have paid for the trip and flights myself, however I did not calculate the huge cost of vaccinations to travel to such a region – I am scarily looking at a bill of upwards of £560 just to keep my health intact. The experience will be wonderful but it now comes at a cost that I will be paying for some time.

I am putting items on ebay and having bakes sales to raise some funds, but if you can you spare even £1 to help towards my travel vaccination costs I would be most grateful.
