£753 raised so far! I have to reset this page every 4 months (maximum time allowed by JustGiving)......so I am well on target for the £1000! Thank you all so much!

I want to try and raise £1000 to help in the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual rehoming of those animals that have been left unwanted, without an owner to care for them, or have been mistreated in life, and give them the quality of life that they deserve......from the cats and dogs bought on a whim for Christmas and are no longer wanted come the New Year.....to ex-racing greyhounds that are deemed to be no longer useful once they are too old or injured to compete....to those that have sadly lost their owners and are too old to be wanted, and just need a loving home to live out their remaining years in peace with someone to take care of them.

We have a lurcher cross by the name of Nina who was adopted several years ago, a timid dog who had been mistreated and locked in a shed with her brother for the first 18 months of her life. Without an organisation like Almost Home Animal Rescue NI, there is little doubt that she would not have survived and come to live the full life she now enjoys.

Every animal deserves a happy life, free from suffering , neglect and fear, or wondering where its next meal is coming from or if it will have a roof over its head for the night.

My aim is to feel their pain.....just a little...and run 1000 miles between 1st January 2017 and 31st December 2017, in the hope of raising at least £1000 for the charity.
