I've raised £12500 to provide medical supplies and in support of a field hospital in Ukraine.

Hello and welcome to our Just Giving fundraising page. Whether you are here to donate or share, or simply show interest in our organisation and what we do, we are grateful for your support.
As many of you will be aware our last fundraiser raised £38,000. With that money we were able to deliver over £20,000 worth of medical kit to an NGO working at both the Polish border and in Ukraine itself, we bought and delivered an ambulance now saving lives in Ukraine and we bought thousands of pounds worth of trauma kit which has been delivered to frontline medics delivering emergency medical support in Ukraine itself. We could not have done this without the support of everyone who donated.
Following on from a number of meetings and phone conversations, we are now able to confirm our next fundraiser.
As many of you will have heard, overnight on the 2nd of March, a maternity hospital in Ukraine was affected by a Russian airstrike, with women and children having to take cover in basements to shield themselves from danger. As well as the tragic deaths of those lost, medical facilities were destroyed, leaving the staff unable to provide the care so desperately needed by the women and children relying on them.
We have been in conversations with frontline medics that are treating the wounded in Ukraine and with surgeons working at the maternity hospital in Zhytomyr, both have confirmed that medical aid is not reaching them and because of this they are unable to carry out the job they so desperately need to do.
We have a list of essential kit, we have the means of getting it to them but we need the support of you all to enable us to do so. We have been gathering quotes and continue to gather quotes from our suppliers and with £10,000 we could kit out this hospital with a wealth of essential medical supplies that will save the lives of women and children in Ukraine that are directly affected by these atrocities.
We appreciate everything every single person has done and we know we have already asked so much of our supporters but if you can donate anything, even just a few pounds, we promise you that we will deliver and ensure this kit gets exactly where it is needed.
We will continue to keep you all update with our work and with the progress of this fundraiser,
All our love, Matt, Alex, Mell and Becky (the Bridge to Unity team)
Who are we?
Bridge to Unity is a community organisation set up 7 months ago in response to the Afghan Crisis to support refugees as they arrived in the UK. It is made up of four individuals (Matt, Alex, Mell and Becky) and is supported by a host of wonderful volunteers. Since its conception we have been working with local government to distribute essential items to those in need and help individuals and families in their resettlement. We do not limit ourselves on who we are able to help and instead we work together with the wider community to form longstanding relationships with those in need, including but not limited to; individuals and families being relocated to the UK as part of the ongoing refugee crisis, those affected by issues of homelessness and families and individuals struggling whether that be financially or otherwise. We do not limit ourselves on who we are able to help, instead we position ourselves within the community to offer support and assistance in anyway we can to anyone who needs it.
