I am going to work in rural China with a group of students from my school on a month's World Challenge expedition. We will be working with a community to help educate children in poor communities in isolated areas.

As a group, we will also be trekking for 3 days up a mountain in Emei Shan to see the Giant Buddha and other Buddhist temples. We have also planned a longer trek to climb Minya Gongga, the highest mountain in Sichuan Province (7,400 metres high!).

We will visit Beijing, The Terracotta Army in Xi'an and The Great Wall before we fly home.

I have been fundraising for nearly a year now (my goal is £2200 overall which is half the total cost) and raised £800 so far working in a local pub, feeding pets and now delivering newspapers this summer. I would be very grateful if you could help me on this journey as I know it will be a trip of a lifetime!
