Our Mission Statement

Welcome to the Brighouse mosque, a new family friendly mosque and community centre to serve the local needs.

We are a group of regular muslim families in Brighouse who individually felt the absence of a mosque locally to serve our spiritual and social needs.

Our mandate is to meet the needs of the muslim community locally and beyond by facilitating good practice in faith, community development, social cohesion and interfaith dialogue.

Why is a mosque needed in Brighouse?

A mosque is used for two main reasons:
1. As a place of worship – there is no mosque within a 5km radius for individuals and families to attend for daily worship and weekly Friday prayers. Having canvassed local families and people working in Brighouse the idea of a mosque has been wholeheartedly accepted with great enthusiasm.

2. As a public place for meeting and as a centre for charity events - to bring people together, to host celebrations and to arrange charity events to raise money for Muslims and non-Muslim locals in need
