Story

Our vision is to develop our CO2LOC technology making it possible to profit from the capture of CO2 and it's permanent storage as valuable by-products.

We need to significantly reduce our CO2 emissions to reach our COP21 goals. One solution is carbon capture and storage but this is costly and only viable where there is access to local CO2 storage sites. Our CO2LOC technology captures CO2 and converts it to commercially valuable by-products. We aim to demonstrate that our technology can make a profit by capturing CO2 and therefore enable the profit motive to drive widespread use of our technology making a significant impact to the reduction of CO2 emissions globally.

We have been developing our technology with the help of the University of Cambridge and Sheffield University and have successfully demonstrated the technology at a lab scale. In order to attract the significant investment we need to fully develop the technology we need to demonstrate our technology in real world applications. To do this we are developing a larger demonstrator housed in a shipping container enabling us to trial our technology at industrial CO2 emission sites such as cement works, steel mills and power stations. This will lead to further investment needed to fully develop our technology.

We have recently won 2 UK Government grants to develop a containerised demonstrator. The total value of the grants is £953k but the grants only cover some of our costs so we need an additional £100k to enable us to access this grant funding. We have been trying to raise this money from investors and industry but they need proof that the technology works before they will make this investment, however, we need this investment in order to demonstrate it works to trigger further investment.

We are therefore turning to you to help raise the money we need to match our UK Government Grants. This will result in a containerised demonstrator needed unlock further investment that we need to fully develop our technology.
