Story
On Saturday 2nd September I am running the Man V Mountain race with a good mate, Dave Benison. The race starts at sea level from Caernarfon Castle and weaves its way to the summit of Snowdon and back down again, it is a 22-mile run that includes an abseil, jumping into a freezing lake and a few obstacles for good measure.
The race was initially a personal challenge but after seeing the wonderful work the Shoe Box appeal does for Chesterfield and its surrounding areas I decided to try and raise some much needed funds.
The team of volunteers work tirelessly to support the homeless, families in crisis, young care leavers and anyone else in need.
They never say no to helping people who really need their support and I find what they do inspiring.
