I recently rescued a beautiful chihuahua. She was very thin, scared, dirty & unhappy. I paid thee asking price of £150.. As i could not leave her behind & thee owners required money to let her go. I would have recued her regardless, but at the time was not told she had hernias & was pregnant. Not obviously pregnant and in pain. Sunday 2nd july by emergency caesarean section costing £850. she had 3 beautiful puppies one boy & two girls & sadly one dead pup. The three surviving pups are amazing. And mum Although very week is a brilliant and protective mum. Her pups are now 9 weeks and full of life. Unfortunately all three have medical issues. The little boy has one hernia & both his testicles are inside him, which he requires surgery for as his testicles left inside could over heat & turn cancerous. One little girl has a naval hernia, is very lively and which were optimistic might heal on its own in time. And the third little girl has three much larger hernias one naval and two large in her stomach. were all rooting for her, she's a tough little thing. Although they all have issues their all playful & happy. At first i considered advertising for sell. But, decided it will be much better for the three puppies to care for them until they are completely well. And see them all through any surgery and recovery needed. And to have all three neutered before homing so they can not pass hernias on. As dogs with hernias pass them through genetics on to future pups. Because of the cost in doing this, i have decided to crowd fund in hopes some pet lovers out their can join me in funding the mum and puppies medical needs, after care, food, bed & bedding, toys, Puppy pads, vaccines & neutering. This will take several months and i will post regular updates and photo's. I hope with all my heart in time when ready to leave the puppies find the forever homes they deserve to have.
