    Story

Carrick Cycling Club is again putting all its efforts in to supporting local causes that are close to our members hearts. The Children to Lapland Trust and AAVS Help for Veterans. These are both local charities that make a real difference to people lives. We have supported the Children to Lapland Trust for a number of years with great success and we have also decided to support another local charity this year too.

We as a club will be cycling the whole of Lough Neagh as a collective group. For most of us this will be longest cycle we have completed this year. This will be 85 miles with the group totalling over 2000 miles on that day. This will be our last event for fundraising this year and we hope to have achieved our target of £1000.

I want to thank you all for you help and support while we raise funds for our local charities.

Morning Everyone I just wanted to update you all on our four week challenge to cover 2800 miles to raise money for our two chosen charities. Even with the really bad weather in the last week we cycled a total of 3525.6 miles. I just want to say thank you to everyone who took part without you we would not have completed the challenge. We have also raised £739 in the four weeks which is brilliant. We now have to prepare for out next challenge which is our Lap the lough in 9 weeks time. So please keep donating and keep sharing the posts.

Good afternoon everyone. We have had another strong week with plenty of folk out riding their bikes. We set a target of 2800 miles in four weeks which was the flight distance between Lapland and back. So on our third week we have completed 2892.1 miles. Great work everyone and thank you to everyone who has supported and donated. We have another week to to collect more miles so keep going. Please keep sharing and donating. https://www.strava.com/clubs/201617/leaderboard
