I have been inspired to raise money by my parents . My mum last year bravely fought breast cancer and received excellent support from the breast care unit in derby and cancer research. Between them they reassured her and got her through a very difficult and personal time. The after support was brilliant and she is fighting fit today.

My dad had a kidney removed with a cancerous growth upon. A massive operation but to this date he is alive and well and although each year he has his cancer checks which can be quite uncomfortable he gets through it with total support and encouragement

I am truly inspired by this and I believe, like polio, that one day cancer will be eradicated and our knowledge will be improve about it every day . We have to invest in the future and medics need to be allowed to experiment and learn . That is my motivation.
