Story

Hi Everyone,

On 10 September 2017 I'm running the Great North Run half marathon,

As well as aiming for a new personal best after last year's effort I also want to try raise some money for Ward 21 of Leeds General Infirmary.

Ward 21 is the stroke ward, who do an amazing job caring for patients who have had a stroke - including my Grandma, who sadly passed away just after the Great North Run last year.

My Gran always supported me in my running, buying me running shoes as Christmas and Birthday presents and coming to support me in races - so I wanted to do something for the Ward to say thank you for all the help they gave my Gran, and this seemed like the most fitting way to contribute!

Thanks for taking the time to read this - It would also be amazing if you could make a small contribution to my Funding page, anything I can raise will really be appreciated by the ward!

Chris
