Story

Christopher's parents saved every penny they had for his father to take him to California for his 18th birthday. On his 18th birthday, his father took him to Newport Beach for a birthday treat. Sadly tragedy struck. Christopher went missing. After an extensive search, his body was recovered on the 9th of July.

This is every parent's worst nightmare. On top of this heartbreaking incident, the family are now facing unexpected financial distress. Christopher's mother is a nurse and his father works as a bus driver. They are a hard-working family, due to this sad incident his parents are unable to return to work for the meantime. Christopher's parents also have three younger children under the age of 16 in their care.

The family has travel insurance which covers children under 18. Christopher turned 18 on the day of the tragic incident. Unfortunately, he was no longer covered by the insurance.

Christopher was a funny, caring, kind and generous brother, son and friend and we would like to celebrate his life on the 18th August surrounded by his loved ones.

Any amount, big or small is going to be greatly appreciated. We are aiming to raise £5,000 to help cover the expenses of bringing Christopher home from the US, the memorial and to help get the family back on track.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and any contribution you are able to make will make a difference for the family. Christopher will continue to live on in our memory, and we will forever cherish the 18 years that we have all spent together as a family.
