My very dear friend Leanne is giving up her own time to travel out to an orphanage in Malawi in October 2017, along with others from NIPSA (Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance) Branch 733 to support ongoing projects.

Seeing Leanne dedicate her time to this worthy cause has made me want to do something to help her raise money for the project. So on 24th September, Leanne and I are abseiling 110ft down the Europa Hotel in Belfast! I'm helping Leanne raise £1,000 which will go directly to The Malawi Projects to pay for healthcare, education, irrigation and food production.

The Malawi Projects were founded in 2016 by members of NIPSA Trade Union Branch 733 and friends. They support sustainable projects that provide healthcare, education, irrigation, and food production to promote self sufficiency in Malawi.

So far this group of amazing people have funded building a school, provided fresh water to 34 children at an orphanage and surrounding community and funded a feeding programme for 450 people.
