Cliff College Support for Sierra Leone
Cliff College has many links with Sierra Leone through former students and the International Training Centre. We are deeply concerned for the people who have been affected by the mudslides in Freetown, and also want to support those we know from the Methodist Church in Sierra Leone who are creating various community projects to help the many widow/ers and orphans left by the rebel war and the ebola epidemic.
We will be endeavoring to do various fund raising activities (more details to follow) throughout the year, and would really value your sponsorship. Please be assured that we will make every effort to ensure that the money arrives safely where it is needed most.
Allison managed to complete the Curbar Commotion fell race (and is delighted to report that she did not come last!) and is now to go several thousand steps further as she tackles the Chesterfield half Marathon on Sunday 22 October. She is hoping that managing 10 miles in the Peak District hills will give her the strength she needs for this new flatter but longer goal and hopes that you will feel you have value for your donation to the Sierra Leone fund. If you know of anyone who may be willing to donate, please forward the link to this page to them.
ALREADY COMPLETED - Sandra ran the Sheffield 10k on Sunday 24th September beating her expected time by several minutes. Allison completed the Curbar Commotion 10 mile fell run in October in very hard conditions. A massive well done to them both!
Thank you for your support.
