Story
UPDATE: AT THE MOMENT IT LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE WALKING THE ROUTE IN CRUTCHES, IT WILL GO AHEAD NONETHELESS.
In the summer of next year, myself and the rest of our team are embarking on an expedition to Southern Peru. On this expedition we will set off on a week-long trek up to Machu Picchu, camping up mountains and taking in the view and the experience. During the remainder of the 3 weeks we are in the country, we will be helping local communities that are currently living in poverty by building and renovating houses and schools, to try and give the adults, and children better lives.
The money we raise through our fundraising is used to pay for our flights, food, accommodation, safety, and the materials we will be using in our community projects. In total, each of us need to raise £4,500.
To try and raise some of that money, the group and I are taking on the challenge of walking 20km; each of us hoping to utilise the challenge to raise as much as possible.
All donations given to sponsor me for walking the long route are much appreciated, and will be appreciated even more by the people we will be helping in Peru.
Thank you.
