Hello,

My name is Connor and I am 13 years old. I am a scout at Brompton & Catterick St Annes Scout Group in Richmondshire. In November 2025, I took part in the North Yorkshire selection event and I was lucky enough to be one of the 30 young people selected to join the first North Yorkshire Scouts contingent to self plan and experience a once in a lifetime European adventure.

Our great adventure will be in summer of 2027, but before we get to that, I now need to plan and fundraise the £3600 to attend. To raise this I will be completing a number of sponsored events, using my craft skills to make items to sell and arranging community events 😀

I have set myself 3 challenges for 2026 to aid my fundraising.

February 2026 - Survival camp: where I will spend 3 days / 2 nights, tech free, camping under the stars and only eating what I cook on my fire pit.

May 2026 - Yorkshire 3 Peaks: where I aim to complete 26 miles covering the peaks of Pen Y Ghent, Inglebrough and Whernside back to back.

Sept 2026 - Completing the Junior Great North Run in fancy dress.
