'Apay Deva Apay Seva' , translates as 'He will give, he will allow me to deliver self-less service'. It's a new family charity that we have set up. The idea behind starting a new charity as opposed to supporting an existing organisation which does similar work is that we want to cut out the administration costs so all donated money actually goes to people who need it.

I'll be running the Windsor Half Marathon in support of the charity and hope to raise at least £250 which will all go towards projects to help those in need, whether affected by disease or poverty.

Our main effort will be in northern India but we hope to expand to other regions and countries in due course depending on support. Our current planned projects include setting up medical screening and education in rural areas, offering a cataract removal service and assisting the needs of a local girls only orphanage.
