Thrown Out in the Cold in Sutton!

The UK Home Office in a recent decision threw out the application for Indefinite Leave to Remain of an honest, hardworking family with children after fourteen months waiting in the cold. Although they submitted a new application and are still waiting for a decision, the Home Office has curtailed their right to work. The family of Debbie and Segun Obafemi and their two little children, one of them disabled, received the sad news when their employers terminated their appointments with immediate effect. Both Segun and Debbie have lived and worked in the UK for 10 to 12 years and have never at any time being on the wrong side of the law. They have made the UK their home and fully integrated themselves into life in the community here. But caseworkers at the Home Office have sent this young family out in the cold with no means of survival, as they are not allowed to earn a living while they wait for an outcome, which could take up to six months! We appeal to the local MP and the political elite to rally round this family and help the Home Office find a solution with a human face.
